FIDELITY Life Assurance has appointed Reginald Chihota as its substantive managing director with effect from March 1, 2022.
Chihota replaces Rueben Java, who resigned in September last year. Seasoned accountant Zvenyika Zvenyika has been acting managing director since October 1.
Chihota’s career spans 30 years, having cut his insurance teeth at Old Mutual in 1991 where he worked until 2003 when he left to join Fidelity Life.
“At Fidelity Life he rose through the ranks, handling various portfolios with the Employee Benefits and Medical Aid units. He was also seconded on various key regional assignments in Angola, Zambia, Mozambique and South Sudan,” said Fidelity in a statement to shareholders.
