GENERAL Beltings, the local manufacturer of conveyor belts and chemicals, says its sales volumes increased by 113 percent to 1488 metric tonnes in 2021 following concerted efforts to penetrate and consolidate in new markets.
In a statement accompanying financials, chairman Godfrey Nhemachena, said the Chemical division’s volumes also increased in the last quarter, which contributed significantly to the increase.
“The Rubber division benefited from a consistent order book throughout the year.”
Total turnover at $575 million was an increase of seven percent when compared with the prior year’s $537 million attributable to the increased volumes.
