THE City of Harare yesterday said it would require $1,2 billion for the rehabilitation of its roads that are now almost impassable due to their poor state, a top official has said.
This comes as President Emmerson Mnangagwa last year declared the roads a state of emergency, hence the need for marshalling resources towards their rehabilitation.
In that regard, the Zimbabwe National Road Administration (Zinara) last year disbursed a total of $199 million for road rehabilitation in Harare.
