NAMPAK Zimbabwe (Nampak) says it experienced some stock-outs during the quarter ended December 31, 2021, due to a lack of raw materials and Covid-19 related logistics bottlenecks.
The packaging manufacturer said the shortage of raw materials and recent world events were likely to complicate supply chains further.
“The continued lack of foreign currency at affordable rates, the shortage of raw materials, and the worldwide logistics bottlenecks continued to curtail the group’s ability to supply all customers with the product they needed when it was required,” Nampak managing director John Van Gend said in an update to shareholders after an AGM.
