RTG’s revenue increases to $2,8 billion
The RTG said the 17 percent revenue growth was positive when read together with United National World Tourism Organisation’s 2021 report.

RAINBOW Tower Group (RTG) says its revenue grew by 17 percent to $2,8 billion in 2021.

This was despite the group’s loss of an equivalence of five trading months due to Covid-19 restrictions during the year.

“The 17 percent revenue growth was positive when read together with United National World Tourism Organisation’s (UNWTO) 2021 report that Global and Africa tourism increased by four percent and 12 percent respectively over prior year,” the company said in a statement accompanying its financial results.

The UNWTO postulates that domestic tourism will lead the global tourism recovery in the world markets. This is inline with the group’s drive to dominate domestic tourism development through its owned and partner hotels, together with the tour operations arm: Heritage Expeditions Africa.

“In addition, the group will use the domestic market as a launch-pad to drive Gateway Stream revenues from regional and international markets, through a strategic activation of regional rooms and retail products on the online platforms,” said RTG.
